Thanks to all of your feedback, we are kicking off a brand new year with new classes!!  There are also a few changes to some of our existing classes.  Please note all of the Preparing for Childbirth classes (Brenda's weekend, Lyn's 5 week, and Vickie's 5 week have been combined into one category - Preparing for Childbirth).

Low Intervention Preparing for Childbirth (1 Weekend class a month)  

Infant Safety (2 times each month) 

Great Expectations (Once a month) 

Breast Feeding for Working Moms (Once a month)

CHANGES:

Preparing for Childbirth: We now will offer a 4 week class and one weekend class per month.  All of the classes will be listed together to make it easier for you to select which fits your schedule best!

In addition to combining all of our Preparing for Childbirth classes, we have altered the times for each of our classes.  They will now all consistantly begin at 6:30pm!

In addition to more classes each month, we have also redesigned our incentives!

To register for Family Emergency Care class (family first aid and infant, child and adult CPR), go to "classes" catalog...proceed down to Family Education... "family classes"...and click on Family Emergency Care (CPR) for available dates.

You will receive a class letter and campus map a week prior to each class you have registered for.

CHILDBIRTH AND FAMILY EDUCATION REFUND POLICY

• If you are unable to attend a class you have registered for, please call our office.
• We will be happy to assist you in registering for an alternative class date or send you a letter of credit to be used on a future class offering. 
• Refunds for Prepared Childbirth and Breast Feeding classes are offered in the event of premature delivery only. 
• Our  computer program does not allow credit card refunds; a check will be mailed to you if a refund is applicable.

IN CASE OF INSUFFICIENT ENROLLMENT, CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION.  Participants will be contacted and alternative dates offered when possible.  Refunds will be offered upon request in the event of class cancellation.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:  In the event of inclement weather, your class may be canceled IF LYNCHBURG CITY SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED.  Childbirth and Family Education instructors have the option to hold their class based on timely weather conditions.  (Ex: an early morning snow that has melted by the afternoon even though school was out for the day)   PLEASE CHECK THE VOICE MAIL MESSAGE AT 434.200.4537 AFTER 2 PM ON THE DAY OF CLASS FOR THE MOST UP-TO-DATE CANCELLATION INFORMATION.
